I enjoy the gamification but have learned to be cautious of it. Unfortunately, it's easy to focus on how much XP you're getting and where you rank in your league, over actually LEARNING the language you're there to learn. Rushing through the lesson to get through in less time while you're on double XP, for example, will always be a temptation, but it prevents careful study and review.

People do need it though, we often turn to products to show us the way and this guide would help Duolingo show that they're technically sound!
